Which Program is Best For You?
Private Lessons: The ultimate one on one experience. Private lessons afford you 100% of the focus and attention of the instructor. The old saying of "you get what you pay for" is true here. Lessons are tailored to YOUR goals and YOUR needs. This means faster advancement and better understanding of your technique and the changes you need to make to improve.
Note: If you wish to share your private lesson with one or more students please see the group rates.
Golf Schools & Small Group Lessons: Whether you are social and enjoy learning in a small group environment, you have a group of your own you'd like to learn with or you'd like to save a few dollars golf schools and small group lessons provide you a perfect hybrid of private lessons and group clinics. The classes are small enough (6 -10 person max) that you still get one on one time with the instructor, but information is also taught in a group setting. While some students choose only this format, most use golf schools as an add on to their private lessons to help reinforce their skills.
Clinics: For the budget conscious and the social golfer, clinics are a great way to pick up useful tips for your game while meeting other golfers. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, they are a great addition to private lessons. Clinics cover one topic per session in a larger class format (10 person max).
How many lessons do I need?
A question that often comes up in lessons is "how many lessons should I take?." That is a question only you can answer. It purely depends on how good you want to become and what your individual goals are. Tour players sometimes take lessons every week and often several days in a row. Without knowing your swing or your game it's impossible for Maria to say how many you will need. After your first meeting with her, together, you and Maria can come up with a game plan to help you reach your goals quickly. It is difficult however to make a huge improvement in a student's overall game with one golf lesson.
Maria prefers to improve a player's total game which would include swing technique, short game, putting, mental game, physical game and course management. Lessons are best spaced a week apart so that you have time to get in a practice session or two. Going too far between lessons can get you off track. A single lesson is great if you have just one thing in your game you'd like to change/improve, but to become a better overall player a series of lessons or a long term student/teacher relationship is best.
