Winter and Indoor Golf Lessons in the St. Louis-area with St. Louis Golf Lessons
![]() Maria and her staff offer golf instruction year round in the St. Louis area. During the off season and cold months lessons are offered at Tower Tee Golf & Recreation where there are heaters and covered bays as well as a private indoor/outdoor studio and at X-GOLF Ellisville, X-GOLF O'Fallon, X-GOLF Rockhill on their simulators. Outdoor lessons are also available at Ruth Park and The Landings weather permitting.
The off season is the best time to make major changes to your game and technique as you aren't out playing as much. This gives you more time for practice and keeps you less concerned about score and more concerned with making changes. To help golfers maintain their progress during the off season Maria and her staff offer a yearly Winter Maintenance Program that runs November - February and offers the student a mix of private lessons and group clinics covering various aspects of the game, indoor drills and golf fitness. SETTING UP A LESSON AT TOWER TEE UTILIZING THE INDOOR/OUTDOOR STUDIO You will be responsible for purchasing a medium bucket of balls for your lesson just as you are when hitting outside. Hitting outdoors of course, allows you see the ball flight and get feedback. This is sometime desirable, but actually not always as you can become too results oriented. If the main thing you want to work on is driver or woods, outdoors is the choice for you. The process for this is the same as setting up lessons spring, summer and fall. What to Wear:
Indoors:
If you are taking lessons indoors at Ballwin Golf Course jeans, sweats, work out clothes, etc. are all appropriate. Once you get swinging a short sleeve shirt is all you will need. Please wear tennis shoes, but soft spikes are o.k. as well (as long as they are clean).
Outdoors:
If you are taking lessons outdoors in the winter time at Tower Tee Golf & Recreation, we highly recommend a knit cap and Under Armour/long underwear. A vest is a good idea, especially a heated one. Wearing a vest will keep your arms free. Wear many layers to shed because once you get swinging you will get warm. Hand warmers are great to stick in your pockets to warm your hands between shots and they also feel good in your shoes! Tennis shoes or golf shoes are appropriate.

WINTER GOLF PROGRAM
"I really enjoyed the program and feel much better prepared for the season than if I had done nothing all winter or just practiced on my own. All the sessions were good with an excellent mix of group instruction and individual coaching. I’m putting all of your handouts in a binder so I can refer to them throughout the year. Thanks!" - Elizabeth Boone
Don't lose all the hard work you put into your game this season! Keep your game and body moving forward with the Winter Golf Program. Check out the Adult Winter Program and the Junior Winter Program
